All Saints Day Celebration

Continuing the tradition we started last year, Amy and I dressed up for our R.E. All Hallows Eve celebration yesterday morning.  And because I love sharing my humiliating moments on here, below is a picture of us in our costumes:

Amy is St. Therese of Lisieux and I am Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta.  We went with a nun theme this year……

BTW, see that the picture is a little fuzzy?  That is because Amy’s son took it and was laughing so hard that he couldn’t stand still….This is actually the best out of 4 takes.

Friday Night Party!

Ok, so maybe it wasn’t a party, but Trevor still had an exciting evening this past Friday.  We invited his friend Chase over for the evening and the boys had a great time playing and having dinner at their own special table.

Trevor’s Big Boy Room

Trevor has done a number on the wallpaper border in his room over the last several months, so last weekend we tore it down and did a quick makeover of his room.  We took it from baby turtle nursery to big boy in a day!  We are really happy with the way it turned out (so far)!

We still have to get picture frames and put his name letters back up on the wall, but for now, it will do.

P.S.  I made the curtains myself.  Susie Homemaker, whaaaaat?!

So long September!

As I sit and write this, my desktop weather thing is reading a chilly 48 degrees, so I know that summer is officially gone, so we can settle in for a cozy autumn.  To recap our September:

We started swim lessons again at the YMCA…..Trevor’s friend Chase is doing them with him and they are both having a great time.

Lots of September was rainy and nasty here, so we took Trevor bowling for the first time…he had a blast!

Things are very busy here at the Chapman household…..work is picking up for Shane, work is steadily crazy for me, Trevor is in school, I am in school, Shane is toying with the idea of applying to school (please feel free to text and call him offering encouragement!)  so our calendar is full and we never seem to slow down too much!
