the signs of a well-rounded child.

And I am not talking about T-rex. This time, it is me!  My parents should be so proud, here is the evidence that they raised a well rounded child:

I may be pretty in pearls…..

kc (church lady, what?!)

But I am a BEAST with a sledgehammer!

That’s right folks, that WAS my kitchen.  Floors go in tomorrow and after a coat of paint and a backsplash we are done-zo.  Oh, you want to see what the kitchen looks like?! Sorry! Final product only. :) Give it a week.

And I realize as I type this that putting these out for bulk pickup the first trash day after the hurricane probably made my neighbors think that we had some damage.  Womp.

Birthday Bonanza

(a week late)

Shaner really came through this year and surprised me big time for my birthday.  My birthday fell on a Monday this year, but Shane made arrangements with our friends (who are amazing, and we are returning the favor just as soon as I have a floor back in my house) to watch Trevor Saturday night so we could go up to the Williamsburg Winery and out to the Melting Pot for dinner.  It was great!  Sunday my parents came down for the afternoon and Monday….well, Monday I went into the office for all of three hours and then spent the rest of my actual birthday in pajamas working from home on the couch.  It. Was. Glorious.

Petting Farm and Pumpkin Picking

This past weekend, we went out to Hunt Club with the FRG.  Trevor had a great time and we got a GREAT pumpkin for the front porch.

Soccer Saturday

This fall, we have spent every Saturday morning at the soccer fields for Trevor’s game.  His team is slowly improving, which is great when you consider that we are referring to six three year olds.

Friend Filled Weekend: Part Two

Sunday afternoon, we went over to our friend’s Andrea and Chris’s house to watch some football and to catch up.  Trevor loves getting to see his Aunt Andy and Uncle Chris….not to mention their dog Gizmo.  (Gizmo is not as excited to see Trevor.  Ever.)

Gizzy was, however, very excited to see Shane.

Friend-Filled Weekend: Part One

Last Saturday we headed up to Richmond to see our friends Mandy and Paul with their boys as well as our friend Amanda, her husband and their two beautiful children.  The Children’s Museum of Richmond was wonderful and there was tons of interactive stuff for the children to do.
