My last post must have paid off because Santa was very good to Trevor (and all of us) this Christmas.
Thursday night, my mom, brother, Shane, Trevor and I went to mass at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton. It was nice service, and nice to be back to visit the church I grew up in. On Christmas morning, everyone woke up around 8am—except for Trevor. We all hung out and waited for him to wake up.
Once Trevor had woken up, we fed him and then began to show him all of the things that were waiting for him under the tree. He did good unwrapping his presents and of course was more interested in the paper and bows than anything else. He was a very lucky boy and got tons of clothes and books, a rocking horse, wagon, Sillytown and a bunch of different toys (block sets, piano, a baby laptop and stuffed animals to go with some of the books he had gotten.) Now that we have returned home with everything our house is 100% overrun with toys and I have yet to walk through the living room without tripping. Shane and I must have been good this year too…I got the Dan Brown book that I had wanted and a necklace and matching pair of earrings from Shane. Shane got some new clothes he had been wanting, a new watch and Wii Sports Resort. My parents also got us some new things for the house that they thought we would enjoy.
After we opened presents we spent the day playing with Trevor and his toys and reading him his new books and that evening we had a delicious dinner that my mom cooked.
It was a quiet, calm Christmas, but we were together with our family and our little boy was happy—which is the best gift all on its own.
